The STREAM project provides statewide, systemic, and sustainable professional learning to K-12 teachers implementing Montana’s Common Core Standards for Mathematics (MCCSM). STREAM offers a variety of learning opportunities built around a set of interactive, on-demand, high-quality learning modules. Whether online or face-to-face, our professional development is school-based, collaborative, and relevant with the goal of  increasing teachers’ knowledge and skills in three areas: (1) teaching Common Core mathematics content; (2) embedding Mathematical Practices and STEM experiences in student learning; and (3) developing leadership and facilitation skills.

STREAM professional learning comes with the expectation that teachers will use what they’ve learned and share their acquired knowledge with their school and district colleagues. Hundreds of teachers in over 25 districts have been caught up in the STREAM through enacting their individual and district-wide Strategic Plans, participating in the STREAM Guide cohort program, or completing our freely available STREAM online modules.
